So you know how I said my friend had a great idea for prom? Well out was to take an old bed sheet and spary paint Prom? on it and me and Geoff would hold it over the bridge on the highway while ant drive pass it. We did it and it was a great feeling before, the feeling of omg I hope this works (and doesn't fall on there car and me and Geoff end up killing are best friend) and a over welling feeling of anticipation pumping through my veins. But she ended up saying No...

Joking do you really think she would say that? Ants just to cute.

Art Center

http://www.mesaartscenter.com/

The Mesa Arts Center, owned and operated by the City of Mesa, is a unique, architecturally stunning facility located in the heart of downtown Mesa. Arizona's largest arts center is home to four theaters, five art galleries, and 14 art studios. Guests, patrons, and students come to Mesa Arts Center to enjoy the finest live entertainment and performances, world-class visual art exhibitions, and outstanding arts education classes. The facility is an architectural showpiece and a destination for visitors to the Phoenix area. The Mesa Arts Center mission is to inspire people through engaging arts experiences that are diverse, accessible, and relevant.
The Mesa Art Center is something I am going to have to visit when I'm on the westcoast, down in AZ. People like Yo-Yo Ma, Death Cab for Cutie and Lily Tomlin have all performed here. Death Cab for Cutie has one of my favorite singers in there band. Who also is in my favorite alteriative band The Postel Service. In addition to art galleries and a museum shop, MAC engages the community with on-site studio classes in art, pottery, acting, dance and more. I would really enjoy going to one of theses classes one day if I keep up with this uncovered dream and if I'm good at it.

Ya your jaw dropped too, Something would 100% drop in my pants if I had to sing here... Real talk.

Highs & Lows

Always looked at this little graph sheet on my screen but never really looked at what it's talking about. It shows my page views and when I'm posting or not. check it out!

Today is actually a fun WISE class, can't belive I'm saying this but ill miss theses little 45 min. Heart to hearts<3. At least it won't happen with my project because I plan on learning and trying more things in the field of performing arts.

Singing >>>

http://voices.yahoo.com/10-tips-learning-sing-well-110289.html

The human voice is one of the most fragile instruments, and is incredibly difficult to master. If you want to learn how to sing well, it's going to be a long battle, but here are some great tips to help you avoid some common pitfalls.
1. Breath from the diaphragm, not the lungs. You need to really control the air that you're expelling when you sing, and breathing from the diaphragm gives you more air to work with. To do this, breath so that your stomach goes out rather than your chest when you inhale. When you practice, try to focus on using the same amount of air for low notes and high notes. This will help erase the break between your registers and give you more steady tone.
2. Run through scales-a lot. If this was guitar, it wouldn't be different, and the human voice is a lot less accurate than a guitar. You need to get your sense of pitch down, and you need to train your voice to reach higher and higher if you want to really hit all the notes in your range.
3. Don't strain your voice. Practice is a good thing, but don't try to sing too high or you might damage your vocal cords. Go slow and steady and you'll sing well in no time. Keep your practice time to an hour or so a day, then move up if you feel like it. If you ever feel like your voice is straining, or if you feel soreness or pain, stop right away.
4. Listen to criticism. Singing well takes a long time, and in the meantime you're going to hear people say a lot of bad things about you. If you notice a trend, recognize that people are probably making a good judgment and try to work on the problem aspect of your voice. Don't let anyone get you down who really has nothing to say other than, "you suck," though. You don't see them trying to do this, and they have no idea what they're talking about.
5. Make recordings of yourself. This is the only way to hear your problems, because you can separate yourself from your voice and listen to what other people hear. You may not like this at first, but keep at it; you'll improve vastly, and you'll start to notice stuff you like about your voice and really expand on those things.
6. Talk to established singers. Most of them will be happy to give you some tips and exercises that helped them out, and any time you need to ask for directions, the best idea is to ask the person that's already at your destination.
7. Eat and drink well. Don't do anything that'll dry out your voice and stop you from singing well. Caffeine is bad, as is anything that causes mucous buildup like dairy products (milk in particular is a very bad choice). Don't smoke or drink too much; this can really make you sing poorly. One famous case of booze and cigarettes ruining a classic voice is Harry Nilsson, who shred his vocal cords while working on his "Pussycats" album with John Lennon and ended up carrying a bucket with him to spit blood into during the recording session. His fantastic voice eventually improved and sounded great, but he never could sing quite as well again; his highest register was permanently damaged.
8. Sing for the style. If you're singing country, listen to country singers; if you're singing rock, listen to rock singers. Notice things that are the same in each style and emulate those. Be careful, however, to keep your voice unique, and not to simply copy another singer's voice. Make your personality come out in your music.
9. Experiment with different sounds. Certain noises, like a really nasal note, can help you expand your range if you practice with them. Ask singers for their suggestions, and take them up on it.
10. Finally, stay positive! If you've had a few bad scales, that doesn't mean your voice is going to be bad all day. Drink some warm tea and try again. Don't get down on yourself, and don't think that your voice is bad, or it certainly will be. I know how stupid that sounds, but mindset is definitely a big part of singing, and if you don't think you sound good, neither will anyone else.

Confused

I really don't understand why I'm Red Flag meaning I have to go to class every Thursday and write a journal entry about what you have done and plans. I have over 95 post right now and a girl in my lastweeks class said " I only have 20 post" this annoys me. She is a great example of someone who needs to be in there, me I have done a lot and I'm very motivated in my work, project, and growth as a WISE student. I have done a whole production, Seen some produtions, went out of my nature high school element, done a poerty slam and won 1st prize, written songs, connected with my family and friends better, gain a new in depth way of thinking, graffiti, cooking, and many others. I hear about kids who barly do shit and they have 95 and I'm working my ass off for a 65... I just don't understand the system in place.

Growth

I have grown... As a person, WISE is different because you arent forced into a classroom, you are the one who creates his faith, and with this new founded independents. I have gained interal maturity, and life perspective.

As hard as WISE was at the start and it put me in a grey area, It this has been one of my favorite classes I took in my IHS career. Once we were out of the boring english book phase and I was on stage, WISE turned around for me.

Somethings I have gained from WISE:
-Trying new things ( and I think that my project was a perfect match for me. It allows me to try something I have never done before and i'ts looking like I'm pretty danm good at it. It also hasnt left me bored in anyway shape or form.)
-The new feelings of excitment, joy, intelligents, neveusness, anger, competiveness, and complishment have brought me into a new way of thinking. I have grown alot more mature ( this could just be ironic because this is the age when I am turning into a young adult, gosh I have no idea how Jewish boys do it... There only 13) I have been able to reflect on things more clearly and expanded my depth of thinking. I have been pulling out things that I never knew were there and think back to things that had gathered alot of dust (my mind got swifer swiped). WISE my me unlock something new and I still have a full month before i'll be presenting.
- I have accomplish goals that I never knew I was capable of.
- I was in a play and one of the lead roles ( Myron Hestler... I miss you deadly) The things I gain from the play are at a high magitude. I maded alot of new friends that I still keep in contact with. I came over a fear of reading,  memorizing, and performing in front of a ton people. I did have some sketchy parts, but I dealed with them very well. Like before are preview I went out there sweating and neveus and my throat almost closed up and I almost ran into someone durning a dance scene. I also did good this I learned how to make my own " Actor Chocies" ( This is were you try and steal the show and characterize your character) I learned a new style of breathing that I do every night before bed for 15 mins. Its called Diohram Breathing, basically instead of trying to pull all the air in your chest and try and be a big guy, you pull it down into your stomach. This helped me alot before the play to cool down my neves.
- I perfoemed in are school Poetry Slam and I got 1st prize. As corny as this sounds I needed a win. I felt like Joe Paturno or Jr who both died after there careers were tooken from them. Want they did for there whole lifes and were some of the bests. Because my sports career as a highschool student were over it put me in one of thoeses phases and just winning something small like that gave me a boost that I was yarning for. Now I have been writting some more poems on my down time, I love expressing my self through poetry now.
- I have done some grafitti and maded ideas for grafitti ideas. I have taken a few pictures of graffitti around but I still need to find my "Spot".
- I have now got a new found respect from my friends and I have even draged a few of them into making a short movie with me. I just need them to be serious.
- I have maded my own song. I have own sung it to one person, Addison. Its still hard for me to sing in front of people. Also i'm making a song with addison as well as making my own.

I cant even go over all that I have acomplished and it kinda makes me mad wen I hear people only have 20 posts, If you give WISE a 100% you will get more than an A you'll get things that will carry with you the rest of your life. You create you faith... So like get it! Turnt Up!!!

7 observations on learning

We were given this reading from the Bordorin College Handbook. It talks about the different ways of learning, some I agree with others I don't. Like the first thing it talks about that learning is not a " spectator sport" and that the education you learn is 90% you, this is true. If you have a passive attendents how are you suppose to learn?... your not.

Another things I agree with is the Pursuit if you don't have motavation how are you going to gain the momentum to accompilish your goals... your not. If I was so motavated in my project I would be really behind and I probably wouldn't be as sussesful in my WISE journey.
